Serialization of System.Uri

Aug 17, 2012 at 2:33 PM

Hi,

First of all thanks for this awesome library, specially for Binary Serialization.

In my current development many of serialized classes has many members of type System.Uri.

Looking on the source code I realized that Uri class was not included as a "Core" type to serialize and a "Custom Serializer" or "Substitute Pattern" was need to make things work and helping to slow down the serialization process.

Do you think that Uri class can be included as a "Core" serialization type as DateTime and Guid?

Thanks!!!

hi, I can take it on my todo list, but cannot tell you when it's done - time pressure with other projects... anyway, thanks for using sharpserializer ;-)

Nice to hear you!

Thank you for creating it!

I'm sorry, storing uri is not as easy as storing date or type. Unfortunately Wrapping uri in custom classes or converting them to string before serialization is the only solution I see actually.
